Rather than funding the education of young minds and healthcare for seniors, the premier is going for personal glory on an initiative that's faux "green".

A truly green solution should be a balance between 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) and infrastructure investment. Building the dam before committing to energy conservation is the tail wagging the dog.

The fact is there is not enough resources to sustain our consumerism habit. Having more cheap hydroelectric power from Site C to feed our wasteful habits of power consumption is analogous to providing more inexpensive drugs to addicts in DTES.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01046941264838530901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4242439673360261416.post-40079998522243522922010-04-20T20:34:59.339-07:002010-04-20T20:34:59.339-07:00This has had to be the most EXPENSIVE photo-op in ...This has had to be the most EXPENSIVE photo-op in the history of BC Politics. Five jet plane loads of bought and paid for party hacks and campaign donators. What a gig. All to direct attention away from REAL issues. Dollars stripped from Education, Health and Welfare to fund one ego maniacs dreams of grandeur. Quit now Gordon while you still have a head. It is interesting that not one scene on the news broadcast ever showed the faces of the folks ferried to the dam. Political organization at its best it seems. Spend no expense to make a major announcement with political 'parasites' for an audience.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4242439673360261416.post-51689566228297698032010-04-20T15:47:47.894-07:002010-04-20T15:47:47.894-07:00Bennett the Younger got his moment on Global TV Ne...Bennett the Younger got his moment on Global TV News. He used it well for the Kleptocracy.

He claimed that BC has been a net importer of electricity for ten straight years. I suppose he was provided a script to read but a little examination would reveal that to be not truthful.

But then, what else is new for BC Liberals.Norm Farrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06762889793990336381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4242439673360261416.post-13362184990378060922010-04-20T14:59:49.100-07:002010-04-20T14:59:49.100-07:00Hi MO,

It would add about $25 per month to each Hydro bill.
I presently pay less than $30 for two months.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
