Funny David, it was in Germany where the tram/train was conceived, where LRT track shared with the mainline railways enabling modern light rail to be extended far and wide for about $4 million/km. to build. Compare this with SkyTrain at over $100 million/km. to build!
ReplyDeleteI have always wondered why a small wind turbine/solar panel kit wasn't mandatory for every household, to operate 3 or 4 outlets to power, let's say the fridge and TV/entertainment systems. Such a kit should not cost more than a $1000 dollars to install and would provide power 24/7.
