Baaad Canada, Baaad Mexico
Something peculiar happened in the Hillary/Barak road show last night.
Both candidates were tripping over each others shoes to declare that NAFTA might be toast.
But, not because it was a bad deal or that it hurt its partners.
But, because apparently Canada and Mexico are the villains here and we must be brought into line.
It's comforting to know that even at the so-called highest levels, Americans are self-serving and self-involved.

David,
Let me share with you a different analysis that I heard on my favourite NYC weekly talk show. In Ohio, both Clinton & Obama are cow-tieing (SP?) to the powerful labour unions. These unions love protectionism and hate free trade.
What's most peculiar is that the states of Ohio and Michigan have some of the worst economies in the U.S. One might think this has something to do with the archaic, protectionist policies in place in those states.
Though why bother thinking that when you can just blame 2 outside parties in the run-up to the forthcoming election.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Canadians should think very carefully before supporting the Democrats. For they may very well get what they wish for!
