Surprise! Your M and M's will do the trick just fine, thanks
Shaken by drug study.
Or so we are to believe.
A recent study showed that many depression patients were helped as much by placebos as by prescription "medicines."
Really?
So that means that most of the educated world still hasn't figured out that most depression pharmacology is about marketing, not science.
We are talking here about billions and billions of dollars in profits.

I have dealt with depression in my own way, by walking long distances. It works and it is good for your physical health.
Now I have found something else that helps. Flax seed.
Ever since adding 2 tablespoons of ground flax to my oatmeal daily, I noticed I never get depressed by our Vancouver winters anymore. I actually look forward to the rain.
I believe it has something to do with the Omega 3 oil in the flax.

And if you read the fine print, your theory is as good as anyone's, as big pharma have to admit they don't really understand how their concoctions interact with seratonin etc.
A friend was recently prescribed Seroquel and was amazed to read that in the fine print well, well into the multipage info you can bet most people never bother with.
Considering all that can and does so often go wrong with antidepressants, anon, you can consider yourself having dodged a bullet. Good move. ;-)
