Beyond Duh, it is hopefully the death throes of 1970's socialism.

Idiot truck drivers like the private sector's better pay, but no benefits. Thats perfect, let the city offer just that as a settlement saving residents 30%.

Librarians, 800 of them! how many librarians does a city need? any feather-bedding going on? They say they are a "female job ghetto"- OK well fire a few and hire some guys, they are also envious that other positions with equal qualifications are paid better, jeez ever heard of the job market? Maybe the other positions perform a worthwhile function.

Total disregard for the taxpayer, this has been going on too long. I propose the Ronald Reagan solution.
