The video of Robert Dziekanksi's death "shows the RCMP in a bad light."
How about Bullies & Thugs?
The officers who perpetrated this monstrosity at YVR did so for the same reason a dog licks itself -because it can.
The once honorable force is in deep trouble, top to bottom. It needs a serious overhaul as soon as possible.

I recall saying that 'the lack of cameras' was going to be an excuse.
Now that all of us get to see how 4 rookies (look at those young men, NO WAY is any of them over 22!) get to 'run the show' at night.
I have served in military as an officer and I know how things get 'swept under the carpet'.
Neither the RCMP nor ANY OTHER Police force should do this investigation. At the very least a special prosecutor should be appointed, better would be to hire PI's to do the investigative work whenever the POLICE are the subject of such an investigation.
As far as the decent of the RCMP, this rot has been going on since 1973 and the 'amalgamation' that brought the Commissioners into the political sphere, making them ADM's. The same garbage that was done to the military in 1968, just look at how well that has gone with CDSs like Hillier!
The video is being shown around the world on television and on Youtube. Good. It's time that various official types who love to trumpet Vancouver as a world class city get a little dose of reality. It's not all good news here. I'm glad some of our dity little secrets are being exposed. If it weren't for the video, however, this would have taken a very different turn. Perhaps because of it something close to justice will take place.
This is so sad and one can only begin to imagine what the mother of Mr. Dziekanksi is going through at the moment. I am a mother and the video brought me to tears.
