Victor's Prize Winning Olympic Coinage

For 60 years, the governments of Korea and China have requested an apology from Japan for the forced prostitution imposed by the Japanese army during WW2. These enslaved girls were called "comfort women".

Now, it appears we will have our own comfort women in Vancouver to provide relief for the army of tourists coming to our city in 2010.

It is rumoured that Mayor Sam has proposed issuing special tokens that may be redeemed for these services. These will bear the Olympic logo and be called "Inukchukfuckbucks".

VANOC has pressed for assurance that in the interests of equality, both genders will be available for Inukchukfuckbucks. Accordingly, a special contingent of male prostitutes to be known as "Furlong's Footlongs" will be created.

very funny David.
But customers would only get the "INUKCHKFUCKBUCKS"if they could say it quickly four times without making a mistake. In fact that expression could be administeded by Vancouver's finest as a roadside sobriety test during the games.

Victor, another gem. However, if Sam gets wind of this, he may just claim it as his own (he's been known to do such things). And I mean, it is brilliant.

It really does make one see the 2010 symbol in a whole new light.

Hey, how are YOU doing?

This sounds like the 4th episode of the Austin Powers series. Dare I ask who will be playing Dr. Evil?

Mr Berner.

While I am often in dis-agreement with some of your comments, I nevertheless read your blog regularly as I find it to be the ONLY source of commentary that seems to care about improving Vancouvers public spaces. Your comments relating drug addiction and treatment methods always seem common sense and well founded.

I see no way to email you directly so I am posting this off-topic link-http://city-journal.com/html/17_4_skid_row.html in the hope that it might be useful in discussing potential solutions to our downtown east-side disaster. It relates to how some motivated police officers can make huge improvements in a cities condition. In this case it is Los Angeles.

The article is too long but well worth the read.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you for that link. That looks like a terrific piece. I'll read it tomorrow evening, when I have a bit more time.

Many thanks.
