Stephan John Stock, 25

Three Canadian soldiers were killed in Afghanistan on Wednesday.

I will not change my mind.

This is a needless obscenity.

Needless?

Not if you are 'in' the military-industrial-complex.

And that includes the entire Department of National Defence (DND) (of which, defence of Canada, has nothing do to with what is going on in Afghanistan).

DND likes what is going on, they want more of it. There have been no combat missons for infantry forces since Korea. This means that the 'top brass' haven't got a clue about what they are doing and the long-term consequences of any of their actions. Those whom could give accurate appraisal of such actions are either dead or dementia cases. Those whom might still be capable of giving good advice are realizing that there are no ears to hear them...

I still point out David, that there is no easy way out now...

With the US pissing off the Russians (with actions in Georgia and Poland see The Real News for some more commentary about this) we, here in Canada, do not even have a northern escape route.

All ways out are closed now, only Wings Over the World will save us!
