All Quiet on the Western Front

For the second time this week, I have found next to nothing in the news that has caught my attention.

Perhaps the world is laying low.

Perhaps we need that.

To quote the wisdom of your supermarket checkout clerk,

(everyone together now)

"Have a nice day!"

I think the Asper media empire is keeping quiet about a lot of stories because they would reflect poorly on the premier and his cohorts.

Some stories that should have legs>
- Olympic cost over runs.
- Susan Hayes David & Goliath struggle with TransLink and the BC government.
- The fish farm debacle
- RAV's $1 billion cost overrun
- Who owns the lands around RAV stations
- The $3 billion Expo Line extension (6 km) and line refurbishment.
- The ferry fiasco
- Gateway, is it needed?
- CanWest's stock slide into oblivion
- Corruption in the Campbell government
- The lack of investigative reporting by major news media
- The (un?)safe drug injection site
- The collapse of the tourist trade
