The Winner! And Still Full of it

Look at this picture.

Look at it long and hard.

Get used to it. (Is that bottle of water in his pocket???)

You will be seeing a great many more of these pictures everywhere you turn.

Not only until May 12th, but long after.

Mr. Campbell will win his third term as Premier of the Province of British Columbia.

Carole James may win a few more seats, goodness knows, but that's it, kids.

And let me make a dreadful, small-minded confession.

I've come to hate the very sight of this fellow.

Especially when he has the chutzpah to pose on or in or near the new Canada Line.

For that project defines for me this man's moral deficiencies.

Built infrastructure - good.

But do it while riding roughshod over hard-working shop owners, causing millions of dollars in lost income and unbearable personal stress?

Campbell has come to represent for me all that is cheesy and single-minded and uncultured and mean-spirited about Vancouver, B.C.

Melbourne beckons.

And as if we needed any more proof, he made a blatant lie or two in the Georgia Straight a few days ago also.

Haha, is that a second head attached to his shoulder, blabbing away?

Just wait David, till the judgment comes down in her lawsuit against TransLink and the Provincial Government. There are several very big bombshells that will make BC Rail look like small potatoes.

What was missed in the Premiers ongoing Canada line announcements is that not one, and I repeat NOT ONE statement was truthful. The Canada line is nothing more than Wall Street type of investment - ROTTEN!

Has Vancouver's mainstream media ever questioned Campbell (or Falcon for that matter) on the veracity of his Canada line statements. Has Bill Boring or the once mighty 'NW98 news machine ever questioned the truthfulness of Campbell's economies of the truth?

Nope; nada, not a peep!

It is nothing but a god damn disgrace and shows how utterly pathetic our news media is.

I have to disagree with your election prediction, there are fantastic internal polls that show the NDP winning ridings no one would suspect(including Falcon`s Cloverdale riding)
And I,like you Mr Berner,my hair on the back of my neck rises just looking at or even hearing Campbell`s voice..
And that same hatred is all over the province.

I didn`t like Trudeau,Dave Barrett,Paul Martin,I voted out Glen Clark,there are many other politicians I disliked but....
There are only 2 that make my skin crawl.
George Bush, yet with Bush I realize the man is a moron(mentally speaking)
But Gordon Campbell,he isn`t stupid,he is a manipulative,compulsive liar,he has broken more promises,than the last 6 BC premiers combined!

Go to the BC electoral map, check out the ridings, the issues in ridings, whos running where,my prediction.
NDP 48 seats-1 independent-36 Liberals

David I cant stand the sight of gordo. BUT and its a big BUT. I was a card carrying member of the NDP until they lost sight of where their support came from. UNIONS! Why they decided to distance themselves from their core support is beyond me. Why they feel the need to have a woman run at the expense of a man that may make a better MLA is beyond me. Then Jack Layton and the fedral NDP completed the carnage. Carol James has the charisma of flowered wallpaper. The best thing that could happen is a defeat so crushing that the NDP is forced to reevaluate all of these bad decisions. Till then gordo gets to be premier as long as he wants

I am so upset with the whole thing that I need to make another comment. Carole James is a tired old dish rag. I cannot stand her either! The NDP will lose because they don't get it! I don't care how many women and people with purple and green hair are in the leg. We need the best of the best. And Carole just doesn't get it! She is just as inept and out of touch as Gordo. The NDP will revise their role as the invisible oppostion..but hey they elected a women as their leader so I guess they can feel good about themselves and pat each other on the back for being so progressive!...Thanks for giving us another four years of dictator Gord you FOOLS!!

I swear that what i heard tonight was
Gordo saying
"This is the most important election in my lifetime."
Egotistical, the world revolves around me, I've got you suckers in my hands.

In a province which really has only two parties which are so diametrically opposed, it is very difficult to persuade the leader of the ruling one to acknowledge or be responsive to the collateral damge of government policies and programs. Certainly when parties are at opposite ends of the political spectrum, it is easier for the party in power to simply dismiss the opposition's criticism as simply left wing politics. It might be more difficult to dismiss an independent's criticism, an independent with no philosophical axe to grind. Someone like David Marley who's running in the West Vancouver Caplilano riding on the North Shore. Read about his platform at www.vote4marley.ca
