Honor Up

"I cannot escape being troubled by the fact that we have in place a policy which forces young men and women to lie about who they are in order to defend their fellow citizens."

Who said this?

A rabid "gay agenda" lobbyist?

No.

Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said this speaking to the Senate armed services committee.

I did not know, until I read the editorial this morning in the Globe, that Canada has had same-sex weddings on military bases.

Gays and lesbians are completely integrated into the Canadian Armed Forces.

As they should be in America.

It is not time for further studies and discussions.

It is time for the U.S. to honor all people who serve, regardless of race, color, religion, and sexual orientation.

Next!

David the average front line infantry man is a "grunt" doesn't think women can fight, doesn't want to work alongside poofs, drinks beer and watches NFL. This is not an insult to them. They stand and fight our battles for us. They ask for little and get even less. We can't on one hand ask these battle harden men to be enlightened liberal minded thinkers, who care about the feeling of those around them and find ways to include members of society with alternative life styles; then on the other hand tell them to KILL someone .
Like it or not we need these blunt tools, and if we allow the military to become an organization that looks more interested in touchy feely time, and I love you even though your different, then these redneck hardass type people wont join and fight for us. You have to ask yourself a simple question. Who do you want on the line facing our enemies? Navy SEAL type narrow minded gorillas, or members of the gay pride parade.
