Who Is Out of Control Here?

In the video below, a fan at a Phillies game runs around the filed like an idiot.

Par for the course.

It's a game. Beer is drunk, People are dopes.

But then comes Mr. Policeman armed with a taser.

Listen to the highly sophisticated broadcasters.

"He got him."

What is this? A video game for 9-year olds?

Can anyone say, "Robert Dziekanski?"

Was this poor sap running around the outfield armed? Was he threatening anyone? Did he pose some clear and present danger to anyone other than his own lonely goofy self?

No, no and no.

Over-react or what?

If one cares to go on Youtube and watch the Tazer videos almost every incident where it seems the users and victims collide it is a frustrated anger issue. Taze first even when the issue is so minor one has to wonder what the heck was that about? Tazers are overused and abused plain and simple.

Well David, What do you think the one cop should have done?

The police demanded compliance and the drunk wasn't going to just stop and give up. The cop only has a few options. He could tackle the guy, Then they could wrestle, maybe the drunk or the cop or both could get hurt( Oh, and what if in that tussle the pistol came loose?) Of course the cop could have used pepper spray or the baton. Both options mean the drunk gets hurt. Next comes the tazer. Where you see over the top heavy handed police actions, I see a future training video in the proper use of the tazer. That is what the tazer is designed to do and the cop did it well.

Simply put, and this goes for this drunk or Dziekanski or any one else, act like a monkey and you deserve to be treated like a monkey.

So monkeys should be tasered? Or just drunken monkeys? I'm missing the logic in your post.

The guy wasn't threatening anyone, he would have ran out of breath soon enough. This has been going on for decades.

Tasers: Angry control-hungry cops best friends.

give the monkey a mango, scratch the monkey's back, pick a few bugs from their scalp, but taser??!? I don't think so:)))
