GNAWING HUNGER
Tomorrow, May 31st, is my son's birthday.
I know that.
What I didn't know until this morning is that tomorrow is also "Lunch Money Day" in Greater Vancouver.
The Food Bank is asking us to donate our lunch money to help feed over 10,000 children who go to schools on empty stomachs.
In Greater Vancouver.
Or Lesser Vancouver.
10,000 of our local children are going to school without proper nourishment.
Not in Rwanda, Haiti or Watts.
But in the "most liveable city in the world."
Tell you what I'd like to do.
I'd like to elect a government that uses my taxes to feed these kids.
At $5 a pop times 5 days a week times 40 school weeks, that's $10 Million.
You have my vote, Mrs. "Families First."
As we say in the running shoe business, "Just do it."

I am not buying Christy's, family's first slogan. The HST has done more to harm family's children, than any other of the dumb things, the BC Liberals have come up with. Campbell and Hansen's election lie, the HST wasn't on their radar, is a blatant lie, and Christy is stupid enough to go along with this scam.
Christy is too busy, to keep the Legislature debates going. She doesn't like the questions of, Campbell's corrupt sale of the BCR, you know, the election lie, the BCR wasn't for sale lie. Seems her ex, her brother and Christy herself, were also implicated in that crime.
Harper was drooling from the mouth, he wanted the HST so badly. The HST was,to give, to the giant company's, Harper and Campbell work for. Layton said, the HST was Harper's baby. Campbell works for Harper, and he thieved and sold everything he could get his hands on.
BC has vast natural resources, there is no excuse for hungry children in BC what-so-ever.
However, Harper and Campbell have cleaned out, our vast resources. Those resources were thieved from the BC people. Have any of our assets and resources Campbell thieved and sold, done anything for the BC people? They have not.
Who benefits from our mines, oil and gas fields, timber, and the BCR theft and sale? the citizens, sure in the hell don't. The real estate that went with the BCR, was worth a fortune, who's wallets were fattened by that theft?
Who's wallet gets fattened by, our raw logs going to China, for the cheap child labor?
There is no excuse, for the BC people being taxed to death. Our wealth of resources, should be feeding hungry children, and supporting our health care and education systems. Those resources belong to us, not to the goddamned wealthy giant corporations.
But Christy has no say in our provinces resources. Harper and Campbell had already mapped Chtisty's road for her.
Wikileaks has said, the N.A,U, is on the way. Harper is giving our vast resources and tax dollars, away to the wealthiest corporations in the world. Canada will be, the largest state in the U.S.
