...I’m off the topic. mr D why do you think its taken so long for this Imus parade to be seen in the light that’s happening now? seems to me its like whack a mole at an amusement park. and is he going to come back like stern bigger and richer?
Today, down in my building's laundry room, I round a paperback copy of "The Cat's Cradle" that someone was passing on. This was mere minutes after I read your posting. Destiny!
My first encounter with KV was "Harrison Bergeron" and what impressed me the most (more than his warning about the dangers of egalitarianism gone wild) was how concisely he illustrated that humanity is often its own greatest threat. Somewhat apt considering KV's own life was tormented at times. RIP.

God bless you Mr. Vonnegut.
... a poem written by Mr. Vonnegut called "Requiem," which
has these closing lines:
When the last living thing
has died on account of us,
how poetical it would be,
if Earth could say,
in a voice floating up
perhaps
from the floor
of the Grand Canyon,
"It is done."
People did not like it here.
Hi Ho ... so it goes
wonderful...many thanks for this

Hi David,
My first encounter with KV was "Harrison Bergeron" and what impressed me the most (more than his warning about the dangers of egalitarianism gone wild) was how concisely he illustrated that humanity is often its own greatest threat. Somewhat apt considering KV's own life was tormented at times. RIP.
