Parade Great. Politicians Not.

THIS AFTERNOON I SAW STEPHANE DION, GORDON CAMPBELL, SAM SULLIVAN AND WALLY OPPAL, AMONG OTHER INSINCERE FAWNING POLITICOS, PRETENDING TO MEAN SOMETHING AT THE GUNG HAY FAT CHOY ANNUAL PARADE THROUGH CHINATOWN.

WHAT FALSE NOTES THEY RANG. HOW TRANSPARENT THEY WERE. AND NOBODY CHEERED.

What in the bald headed Christ were THEY doing in the Parade, cleaning up after the elephants? And nobody cheered? Don't their hired fart catchers, and present or former leg-overs work on Sundays?

We've had to give the crowds , too much time on the ancient feet, etc. a miss in recent years, but we always watch the parade on tv.
I noticed that Gordie Campbell was so into the whole thing he had no idea what year of Rat people are said to be like although he is one, seemed to have no clue past, "wear this shirt, hold your hands together like this, say "Gung Hay Fat Choy" and smile a lot." Weak, weak, weak.
Simple Sam Sullivan on the other hand seemed like he was botching a prepared statement when the young lady stuck the mic under his nose, though he he did manage to burble the obligatory "We are multicultural" amongst the gibberish. Weak, weak, weak.

I was at the parade as well. In front of the politicians (who almost all arrived fashionably late).
It was my cue to leave. The people standing behind me said to each other "time to go".
It appears the average person has had it with them all.

Even worse is watching Campbell with a scarf around his forehead banging drums. What a fake. It's good to see that the aboriginals are not fooled one bit...can't buy them with trinkets this time around.
