Carter, the Clown or Carter, the Saviour

Is Jimmy Carter a Hero or a Fool?

Or does the truth lie somewhere in between?

He places a wreath on the grave of Yasser Arafat.

He visits Hamas leaders.

Watch this video report and tell me what this man is doing.

You'll never convince me that Jimmy Carter has been an effective leader, let alone a [pragmatically] smart one.

Indeed, he is the elder poster boy for Liberal Relativists but his track record is much more akin to the dismal failure of Neville Chamberlain than anything else.

I do believe that people like Carter mean well but their Kumbaya approach to solving problems only works if all the antagonists they're dealing with have a similar mindset for fairness and justice.

When using such an approach with thugs (and worse) then Carter can best be described with words from the murderous tyrant, Joseph Stalin: "A useful idiot".

Here's an interesting video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBaDfue_Rys and a good article about this misguided man:

You stole my thunder, Robert. "Useful idiot" is Carter to the "t".
I wonder what his dear friends in the Middle East say (behind his back) about the infamous Jimmy Carter Desert Classic screwup of a rescue attempt in Iran in the day.
I nominate Jimmy for Dhimmi of the Year. Who'll second? lol :-)

This just in: Rep. Sue Myrick (R) of North Carolina is calling on Condi Rice to revoke Carter's passport. I know, not likely to happen, but the sheer comic value alone if Condi did it would be, well, lol.

here's the press release from Myrick:
