Expendable in life and death

On Saturday, under the heading "Reasonable & Necessary," I commented on the decision by the crown to not press charges against the four RCMP officers whose actions resulted directly in the death of RObert Dzienkanski at YVR.

Please now read Gary Mason's excellent column in this morning's Globe on the same subject, "Police Stoop Low," and then read four letters ( Stephen Spencer, Scott Nelson, Michael Skrzypczak, and Cathie Pym) to the editor, each in its own way deploring this latest fall from grace for a once admired force.
