STILL FIGHTING HISTORY

History will not be honored, at least this year in Quebec.

The planned reenactment of the Plains of Abraham battle that occurred 250 years ago has been cancelled because of threats of violent protests by separatists.

Lovely.

What was the point of building a modern Canada if it is to be intimidated by thugs?

With the threat of violence and the cancelling of the re-enactment, the terrorists win again. Politically correct mind think is alive and well. It would be like an American ignoring Gettysburg or the ANZACs thinking of Gallipoli as merely a bad historical memory because some might have hurt feeling. It all is part of how we got here. The Battle of the Plains of Abraham is in some minds clearly not over.
