One of my favourite singers is Elaine Paige and I listen to her often. Was it not Elaine who was the original Grizabella (London Cast)? She took over the role when Judi Dench was injured. Betty Buckley was the first to perform Grizabella on Broadway.

Wonderful voices and performances.

Elaine Paige was indeed then first to do the role and the song in the West End in London and Betty the first on Broadway.

I knew that some Musical-wise reader would force my hand on this.
