PEOPLE SKILLS

So you write little musings to yourself about life and death and the next thing you know the police acting like the Gestapo burst into your home, beat you up and drag you off screaming to the psych ward.

TV movie of the week?

Maybe next week, but for the moment this is a true and horrifying story from Toronto.

Read Christie Blatchford's column and lock the doors.

What a sad and disgusting story. That poor man. Now he *does* have nightmares and mental anguish - thanks to the cruelty and ignorance of those who are to "serve and protect". I am an older person and I feel ill reading about this man. Although I can understand if there was genuine concern and fear involved, I wonder why on earth his son-in-law or better still, his daughter, didn't telephone *him* immediately and have a talk - assess his mood -rather than dialing 911?
