My Sandbox or Yours?

Here's an old playground story.

We have a game.

You say, "I don't want to play your stupid game."

So you don't play and we do.

Then, your best friend shows up and he happily joins in the fun.

Pretty soon, you're begging us to let you play too.

The Game in this case is called the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

It's sort of like the EU, only the jerseys are a different colour.

The idiot who doesn't want to play is Canada, specifically the Prime Minister.

He's concerned about votes from dairy farmers in the only place in Canada that really matters - Ontario & Quebec.

Moo.

But, hark.

The USofA is now joining this trade agreement that will only give access to 470 million consumers.

Oh...NOW we're interested.

Can we play?

But the American's are saying, "Butt out Canada. You had your chance and you blew it."

All I can say is it's a darn good thing we have so many adult gown-ups running things for us.

We might not be invited to play in the sand box but if we tell the mean old Americans that were going to take our shovel and pail they might reconsider.

No power
No water
No oil
No wasted lives in Afghanistan

We have more toys to share than anyone else in the playground. We also havent spent as much of our allowance on junk as they have.

Canada is better off staying out of these economic unions.
In my opinion, the European Union is an utter failure, and all the principal countries will have to revert to their original currencies.
The UK was smart to have kept their own currency. Now they should exit the EU completely.
Greece and Portugal are in such dire straits because they cannot control the value of their currency, nor their interest rates.
