This Comment Deserves Attention

David, I spent the evening at Eagleridge Emergency. I was there because our family doctors office isn't open enough hours to treat all of his patients. It was a zoo. Ive seen a lot of busy emergency wards but this was beyond my ability to describe. Woo, Peckinpah, and other violent genre movie makers might be able to do it justice.

So the thought of spending tax dollars to give crack heads a comfy place to get high makes me sick. That group of left wing do gooders should be placed in the emergency ward of a different hospital every night until even the dumbest of the dumb realize that our health system is on the verge of melt down. Until we can look after the people that our paying the taxes to support the crumbling health system we should place duct tape on the mouth of any wing nut that wants to spend money to make addicts comfy. If an addict wants to get clean we should have to provide the means. If an addict wants to be comfy, to hell with him/her.

BCMSP limits doctors to 50 office visits a day. A subtle mechanism to limit costs figured out by highly paid experts that manage our health care. That's why they deserve $500K a year. If you paid less, you might end up with dumb rules.

Until ALL the respective Gov'ts spend money ( and a fair bit of it) on treatment and treatment beds, this problem will not only stay with us, but more than likely continue to get worse. The main problem as I see it, is that because the general population has little or no idea what's going on in the real world there will be no demand from the tax payers to do what's right. Drugs have been party of our society basically from day one in one form or another. They will always be here - tempting new generations. Until the 'people' in charge decide to really address the issue(s) this terrible cycle will never even come close to coming to an end. Education MUST begin in grade school on healthy life choices and an outlining of the real evils and the damage drugs do to people every single day of every single decade.

As a teacher of thirty years in Elementary school Jeff has no idea what is happening in that world. Drug education is taught at the elementary level much to the fear, annoyance, and outright hostility by many parents. Secondly drug dealing/selling/freebes is carried on in elementary schools and there is sweet bugger all that anyone can do about it. The teachers know who the 'dealers' are and so do the police. The problem is the LAW does not allow anyone in authority to REALLY deal with the problem. And don't even talk about the strangle Privacy Laws create for all concerned. Jeff you have no idea what is going on and your comments are just to trite and silly. Sorry but I tired of this kind of rhetoric.

David, a by the way/ps.
The staff at Eagleridge Drs, nurses etc were up to the task. They seemed numb to the chaos and all behaved like pros.

David, in the olden days, when I had hair, some determined burly father's would have clean up this little debacle, right when it STARTED. We no longer live in those times. The determined burly father's are rendered impotent, and we ALL call upon someone else to respond for us.
It's very sad............ and everyone loses.

Education must begin at HOME.
