You think our drug addict policies are nuts?
You're right.
But not to be outdumbed, New York City has hit the insanity jackpot.
The city spent $32,000 on 70,000 fliers that tell you how to shoot heroin, complete with detailed tips on prepping the dope and injecting it into your arm.

No doubt, some genius in Vancouver or Victoria health circles is now preparing our versions.
A small point.
One of the things that I love about this otherwise infuriating article was that the writer kept referring to addicts as "dope fiends."
I refer to addicts as "dope fiends."
But I am regularly chastised for this by the chronically PC.
I dunno.
Simple me. Some things seem simple.
Dope fiends shoot dope.
Doesn't mean we have to give them instruction sheets.

Whatever happened to "natural consequences" and "learning from our mistakes". We take this opportunity away from people when we give them "how to" books. I have seen these in Manitoba as well and it is a disappointing way to spend money. What's next, "Tips for Cons", "How to Get the Most From Your Next Cigarette". Geezzzz.
