TV ALERT

The Dope will "address the nation" sometime tonight.

Could be better than a Seinfeld re-run.

Nah...

News Flash...............

The country is not in trouble.

There is no coup de etat.

There is nothing illegal going on.

It's all about power and Harper, with only 37% of the public vote, thought he had absolute power; trouble is, he doesn't.

This whole episode in Ottawa is best summed up in a Harper radio advert: "We won the right to power in Canada."

'nough said.

Things are getting HEAVY...

Thanks to Chris Tibbs for this ditty. Perhaps it will bring a smile to your face.

Governmentium: A New Metal?
Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.
The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 ssistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded byvast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it
impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take
from 4 days to 4 years to complete.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time,
since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of morons’ promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration.
This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalyzed with money,
Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy
as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson,
C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D.
Governor General
Rideau Hall

Excellency,

As leaders of the opposition parties, we are well aware that, given the Liberal minority government, you could be asked by the Prime Minister to dissolve the 38th Parliament at any time should the House of Commons fail to support some part of the government's program.

We respectfully point out that the opposition parties, who together constitute a majority in the House, have been in close consultation. We believe that, should a request for dissolution
arise this should give you cause, as constitutional practice has
determined, to consult the opposition leaders and consider all of your options before exercising your constitutional authority.

Your attention to this matter is appreciated.

Sincerely,

Hon. Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P.
Leader of the Opposition, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada

Gilles Duceppe, M.P Leader of the Bloc Quebecois

Jack Layton, M.P. Leader of the New Democratic Party

Your example is not like to today's situation...

In that letter, they are advocating to dissolve the House AND NOT TO FORM A GOVT WITH SEPARATIST ASSHOLES.

Big difference...

Fools.
